Please take note of the distance and difficulty of each tour. Tours are modified to suit the ability of each group. If you are aged 15-65 and you are not unfit or don’t have any serious health problems, there should be no difficulties. Weather Conditions

SRT does not take any responsibility for the weather, or outcomes that result from it. Running tours will usually always operate in all conditions. Your guide will do their best to ensure you have a great time, but it’s also recommended that you prepare accordingly and bring a sense of adventure. Cancellation/transfer fees and conditions apply if you choose to change your plan based on the weather. However, SRT also reserves the right to cancel or amend tours due to adverse weather conditions.

Conditions of travel

SRT reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative guides to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a tour resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions. SRT cannot guarantee start/finish times and is not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. SRT accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings or baggage.

Photos

As part of the tour, your SRT guide will take photos of you and the group on the day. At the end of the tour you are welcome to review these, as they will later be posted on the internet (and a link emailed to you) and may be used for marketing purposes. If you are not comfortable with this please advise us in writing before your tour.

Medical conditions

Please inform an SRT staff member of any applicable allergies or medical conditions.

Liability

Whilst SRT makes every effort to safeguard its clients, SRT cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond its control. Passengers should note that adventure travel/ecotourism involves a higher than normal risk and a signed release will be required from all participants before tour departure. Furthermore, tours may include the services of transport providers and other operators, and SRT cannot be held responsible or liable for these.

WAIVER- A RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK IS REQUIRED

By booking a tour, you must agree to the following:
I am participating in this “Understand Down Under” tour voluntarily and at my own risk. I am aware that risks exist and may arise during the tour (including, but not limited to, the hazards of travelling by foot, train, vehicle, water transport in isolated or mountainous terrain, away from medical facilities and subject to the forces of nature) by which death, injury or illness to me or damage or loss to my property may occur.

I accept and assume all the risks of participating in the tour. I understand that the tour implies physical activity. I am in good physical condition, and I also know my physical limitations so as to stop in time and to anticipate any type of health issue. I understand that the tours take place through streets open to vehicle traffic. I will follow instructions for pedestrians during the tour.

Further to this, I (and my heirs assigns, executors and/or administrators) fully and finally release Understand Down Under its owner/director Andrew Richards, its employees, agents, servants and contractors from any and/or all responsibility or liability for any loss of or damage to any of my property, or any injury or death to me arising in any manner whatsoever (including by way of negligence of any other person or entity) out of my participation in the tour.

I acknowledge that I have accepted the risk stated above and given the release stated above of my own free will and I have not relied upon any verbal, written or visual representations or statements made by “Understand Down Under” and/or its servants, employees, agents and contractors.
